Our Practice
PFG Design was founded in 2000 by Paul Gadsden, an experienced architectural technologist with a strong background in high-end residential and master planning projects. After over 25 years in private practice, he established PFG Design to deliver exceptional architectural solutions.
In 2007, Paul’s daughter, Ellie Gadsden, joined for work experience while completing her architectural studies. Having previously worked at Lord Norman Foster’s firm, she gained valuable skills in design and presentation. After qualifying in 2011, she contributed to major London projects while Paul expanded PFG Design from Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.
Ellie became a director in 2014, coinciding with the firm's RIBA registration. Since then, she and Paul have collaborated on a diverse range of high-end residential projects. In 2020, Paul moved into a consultative role, while Ellie took over daily management. Alongside leading the practice, Ellie is also a Part 3 professional practice examiner at the University of Nottingham and the University of Westminster. Under her leadership, PFG Design continues to thrive, upholding the values of quality, integrity, and innovation that Paul established.
